  • As a DIT, Melissa works on films, commercials, music videos, and documentary film content. She’s managed media for projects that have screened at the New Orleans and Tribeca Film Festivals as well as on Disney, Netflix, and Hulu.

She often transcodes footage, generates dailies, and will even occasionally create the project file and set up the first sequences so that the post production team is able to begin work immediately after receiving hard drives.

  • As an editor, Melissa works on local and regional commercials, short and feature length films, and a myriad of content for the web. Her favorite things to cut include live music performances and quirky little short films. Her work has screened at Louisiana Film Prize and within the French Quarter Galleries at the Historic New Orleans Collection museum.

  • As an assistant editor, Melissa works on narrative and documentary feature films and series. She is responsible for ingesting, verifying and logging footage from each shoot day as well as creating Kem Rolls and assembly cuts for the lead editor. Films she’s assisted on have screened on Hallmark, Lifetime, as well as the New Orleans Film Festival and ITVS.

  • As an additional editor, Melissa works with filmmakers who are close to picture lock but need some assistance to take it over the finish line. Included in this is trailers and promo material and initial color grading. Films that she’s performed additional editing on include Better than Fine (now streaming).

Melissa is a freelance filmmaker who moved from Louisiana’s capital city to the Big Easy to study Film and Theatre Arts at the University of New Orleans.
